MANILA--Glutagence looks to speed up the tempo of the game in its maiden season in the WNBL.

Team manager Nico Banson said on Thursday that the Glow Boosters are planning to instill a run-and-gun game.

"The style naman kasi ng head coach namin na si Coach Justin Tan, more of run-and-gun talaga. Yun talaga sistema niya," Banson said in the Usapang Sports Forum of the Tabloid Organization in Philippine Sports.

Banson believes Tan's system would fit well with the composition of Glutagence's roster led by former UAAP star guards Fille Claudine Cainglet, Camille Claro, and Khate Castillo, the first three picks of the recent WNBL Draft.

"As you can see naman sa lineup namin, hindi kami gaano kalaki. More on the smaller side kami looking to the league," Banson added.

Meanwhile, he also said that the Glow Boosters are not looking at the preseason favorites tag right now.

"As of now, ang mentality po namin from the coaches down to the players: we don't wanna be complacent. We don't wanna let the pressure hit us," Banson further said.

He added, "Even if the people are saying that we're the favorites, we don't wanna make that bother us from reaching our goals as a team."

However, the ultimate goal remains.

"Our is, number one, to get the first ever championship in the WNBL as a professional league," Banson further said.
