MANILA—In a huge announcement on Monday, Ginebra coach Tim Cone said that the team just acquired MJ Ayaay.
"We welcome newly signed MJ Ayaay to the Ginebra Family! We're looking forward to pairing him with Scottie [Thompson] in the backcourt," Cone said in a tweet.

Ayaay averaged 3.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, 0.7 assist, and 0.3 steal per game last season for Alaska off the bench.
Although he will join a loaded guard roster for the Barangay featuring Thompson, LA Tenorio, and Stanley Pringle, Ayaay is expected to get minutes to provide youthfulness for the squad.
