MANILA--Ronald Pascual is set to make his return to professional basketball.

Former San Sebastian teammate Calvin Abueva said on Saturday that the swingman is set to join the Pampanga Delta for their upcoming NBL title defense this season.

"Kinuha siya ni Boss Dennis Pineda--ni Gov (also the Delta's team owner)," Abueva said on The Chasedown.

Abueva's comments should sound as good news to the basketball fans who want to see Pascual back in action after what has been a troubled free agency with his brother Ronel baring last November that he "hit rock bottom."

While it was not exactly what the fans wanted, that is, a fan clamor following Abueva's trade to Magnolia of seeing him, Ronald Pascual, and Ian Sangalang together again as if they are still with the Golden Stags, Abueva said that Pascual's upcoming stint with Pampanga should serve as a start to his road to redemption and possibly that much awaited "Pinatubo Trio" reunion with the Hotshots.

"Pinaglalaro siya sa NBL--dito sa Pampanga--para naman mabalik yung sistema niya na ginagawa niya dati," Abueva further said.

He then hopes that Pascual would become a better person after how his life plummeted badly with his personal issues.

"Kaya namang bumalik basta ayusin lang yung sarili niya at mag-focus siya sa talagang goal niya na makapaglaro uli," Abueva further said.

Pascual is joining a loaded Delta squad led by former PBA players Michael Juico, Dexter Maiquez, and Levi Hernandez.
