MANILA--Taguig is making a return to the WNBL.

The first professional women's basketball league in the country announced on Monday that the Lady Generals will be the sixth participating team in its sophomore staging.

The announcement was made after Executive Vice President Rhose Montreal and Vice President for Basketball Operations Edward Aquino met with team owner Bing Victoria on Monday.

Victoria also represented Mayor Lino Cayetano in the said meeting.

The Lady Generals became the third team from the WNBL's inaugural staging in 2019 that is making a second run in the league after the Navy-Go For Gold Lady Sailors and the Paranaque Lady Aces.

Taguig and Navy clashed in last season's finals with the latter winning it all.

However, due to the team missing the recent draft, Taguig will be rebuilding its roster essentially from scratch.

The WNBL has called on the undrafted players to try out for the Lady Generals.

"A physical/F2F (face-to-face) tryout will be announced once the venue is given a green light by the Games and Amusements Board," the league said.
