MANILA--Only one MPBL finalist will be known after Wednesday night.

The league announced that the South Division Finals rubber match between Basilan and Davao Occidental has been postponed.

This, after it was revealed that a member of the Steel has been tested positive for COVID-19 and is now considered a suspected case.

"We are under seven days quarantine," said head coach Jerson Cabiltes.

The entire Basilan squad entered the MPBL bubble in Subic Bay on Monday, but upon the release of the RT-PCR test results, the team has been placed in isolation.

The Steel will all be retested next week, and those tested negative might be able to take on the Tigers in their knockout game.

With the said game, the other knockout national semifinal between Makati and San Juan, initially scheduled for an 8 p.m. tip-off, will now be played at 4 p.m.
