MANILA—Meralco has begun shoring up its lineup for the first ever PBA 3x3 event.

The team announced on Friday that former Alab Pilipinas guard Jason Brickman will headline the roster.

The Fil-American playmaker initially declared for the PBA's 5-on-5 draft this year, but he was pulled out from the final list of aspirants after failing to secure necessary documents to be cleared.

Still, Brickman would get to taste some PBA action this season as the Bolts signed him to a 3x3 deal.

"We’re looking forward to seeing his brand of basketball up close," Team Manager Paolo Trillo said.

After a stellar collegiate career at Long Island-Brooklyn, Brickman played in Russia, Germany, and more prominently in the ABL, where he played for Mono Vampire and Alab.

After a long wait, at least in the 3x3 circuit, he is coming to the PBA.

"He’s a veteran playmaker who has proven himself internationally and we’re excited to have him on board," Trillo further said.
