MANILA--As expected by many, Joshua Munzon is the first pick of the regular PBA Draft.

Terrafirma formalized Munzon's selection during the draft proceeding done virtually with the TV5 Media Center in Mandaluyong being the teams' "war room" on Sunday.

Munzon, the number one 3x3 player in the Philippines with stellar 5-on-5 stints for the Saigon Heat and KL Dragons in the ABL and the AMA Titans in the PBA D-League, is poised to be the Dyip's new main gunner following the trade of former top pick CJ Perez to the San Miguel.

There was no real surprise in the first six picks of the regular as at least most of them have been projected in the mock drafts.

NorthPort took high-flying forward Jamie Malonzo with the second pick, while NLEX drafted Calvin Oftana third overall.

TNT got Mikey Williams with the fourth pick, while Rain Or Shine went for Santi Santillan with the fifth pick and Alaska took Ben Adamos with the sixth pick.

Malonzo will become part of a solid Batang Pier frontline led by newly acquired center Greg Slaughter and veterans Sean Anthony, Jervy Cruz, and Kevin Ferrer.

Oftana, on the other hand, will beef up the Road Warriors' wing rotation even as Williams could become the Tropang Giga's next main point guard with Jayson Castro not getting any younger as well as an additional offensive firepower with Ray-Ray Parks sitting out the upcoming season.

Santillan will bolster the Elasto Painters' own big man rotation, while Adamos will be a solid addition to the Aces' own bigs.
