MANILA—In a stunning manner to start the month, Rain Or Shine announced a major shuffle in its coaching staff.

On Monday, the Elasto Painters announced that Chris Gavina will be their head coach for the upcoming PBA season, replacing Caloy Garcia.

"We are excited to announce the appointment of Chris Gavina as Rain or Shine’s Head Coach. He brings with him several years of experience as a coach in both the PBA and MPBL," ROS said in a statement.

Gavina, whose last head coaching stint was with Bacoor City in the MPBL last season while staying in the ROS coaching staff, will be making a PBA head coaching return after four years or since he last handled the Terrafirma franchise.

Garcia, however, remains put as the team promoted him to head of basketball operations.

"Garcia will now be providing his veteran experience and leadership for the benefit of the team on and off the court," the Elasto Painters further stated.

Barely making the playoffs last season, the team looks to put on a better performance this PBA year.
