MANILA--Shinya Aoki got the better of Eduard Folayang in their third face-off at ONE on TNT 4 on Thursday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Aoki never gave Folayang a chance to deliver his strikes by quickly bringing him down to the floor midway through Round 1.

After establishing ground control, Aoki performed an armbar, prompting the submission with only 40 seconds left in Round 1.

Aoki, currently ranked number four in the ONE lightweight division, has now won four straight fights and is now in a prime position to challenge Christian Lee for the title belt.

Folayang, on the other hand, lost for the third straight time and fifth in his last six bouts, seemingly putting some more uncertainty about his career.
