ALCANTARA—KCS Computer Specialist-Mandaue City crushed the Tabogon Voyagers, 86-53, in the 2021 Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup, Friday at the Civic Center here in Cebu.

This is KCS's second win of the tournament to rise to 2-1. Mandaue's win against Siquijor had been erased from the record books after it was banished from the league.

With their defense stifling the Voyagers at every turn, KCS was able to dominate the match from the opening tip, leading 22-13 to end the opening frame.

KCS poured it on the rest of the way, leading by as much as 33 points in the final frame.

The Mike Reyes-mentored squad limited their opponents to a horrid 29-percent shooting while forcing 20 turnovers that led to 25 points.

Dyll Roncal had his best game as a pro as he led KCS with 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and a steal.

Roncal, who is fresh off a collegiate stint with the Southwestern University-Phinma Cobras, said he is transitioning well to the pro game, with the help of his head coach Mike Reyes and older teammates.

“I just am focused on becoming more mature in this league and always being receptive to advise from our coaches, the kuyas of the team and of course, my parents,” said the 6-foot-2 Roncal.

Crafty point guard Joseph Nalos also had a fantastic showing as he compiled 14 points, seven boards, four assists, three steals, and a blocked shot.

Gileant Delator and Red Cachuela chipped in 10 points apiece with the latter adding six boards, two steals, and a block.

Arvie Bringas was the lone Tabogon player to reach double-figures with 12. The Voyagers dropped to 1-2.

KCS-Mandaue returns to the court on Tuesday when it takes on ARQ Builders-Lapu Lapu at 7:00 p.m. Tabogon, on the other hand, faces Dumaguete on Saturday in the second game of the day.
