MANILA--Judoka Kiyomi Watanabe and trackster Kristina Knott both sealed their places in the Tokyo Olympics as announced at just about the same time on Wednesday.
Both athletes qualified through the quota rules for their respective sports.
Watanabe, ranked 41st in the women's under-63-kilogram world rankings, made it after making the continental quota cut.
Knott, on the other hand, will compete in the women's 200-meter race through the universality quota.
Following the female athletes' qualifications, the Philippines now has 15 representatives to the Tokyo Olympics from July 21-Aug. 2.
