MANILA--Daegu brought United Clark back to reality on Sunday night through a 4-0 victory to cap their stint in the AFC Champions League group stages at the Milliy Stadium in Tashkent.

Needing to win to qualify for the knockout stages, Daegu struck first in the 37th minute when Tsubasa Nishi drove past Pika Minegishi and slotted the ball into the goalmouth.

Daegu eventually pulled away in the second half, starting with a 48th minute goal from Lee Keun-Ho, his first Champions League goal in nine years.

Lee then found Edgar Da Silva for the 58th minute goal to make it 3-0.

Substitute Jeong Chi-In struck the dagger for Daegu with his 73rd minute goal.

With 12 points, Daegu entered the playoffs by being one of the three best second placers in the East Zone.

This also assured that all the four K League representatives in this year's ACL will enter the Sweet 16 phase.

Meanwhile, despite the defeat, United Clark will finish third in Group I, a remarkable feat for a first time participant in the ACL.
