MANILA--Magnolia put into waste a huge game from Roosevelt Adams and clobbered Terrafirma, 105-83, to sustain its hot start in the PBA Philippine Cup on Friday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The Hotshots sizzled offensively by scoring 33 points in the first quarter and banked on their patented defense by holding the Dyip to just 12 points in the second quarter for a 58-37 halftime lead.

Terrafirma would recover slightly in the third quarter by outscoring Magnolia, 24-13, to cut the lead down to 10, 71-61, but another offensive juggernaut from the latter in the final frame sealed the blowout.

Ian Sangalang led the Hotshots, who are now 4-0 in the team standings, with 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting, two rebounds, and two assists.

Mark Barroca added 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting, six rebounds, five assists, and one steal.

Adams' career high 25 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and two steals went down the waste as the Dyip fell to 0-3.
