MANILA--A crucial part in the PBA teams' buildup for the upcoming season is set to resume very soon.

Commissioner Willie Marcial said on Friday that teams can begin consummating trades again on Monday.

"[Starting] July 12, Monday, 12 n.n., allowed na ang mga trades," Marcial said.

The reopening of the transfer window is somehow timely as the PBA is scheduled to release the Philippine Cup fixtures also on Monday.

With the trading session suspended, teams have been conducting practices with the holdovers from their lineup last season plus the rookies they have drafted, the free agents they have signed, and the players they acquired through trades prior to the suspension.

The resumption of the trades, however, would give the team the needed boost in stacking up ahead of the season start next Friday.
