MANILA—PFL clubs can now go full throttle with their preseason training after the municipal government of Carmona approved the league's request for the teams to do their training inside the PFF National Training Centre.

The PFL sent its training protocols to the Carmona local government unit for approval, which Mayor Roy Loyola gave the nod.

With this huge news, the clubs can now totally gear up for the PFL season, which is tentatively scheduled to begin on Aug. 21 also at the PFF NTC.

“We thank the local government unit of Carmona, Cavite, led by Hon. Mayor Roy Loyola for accepting our request for our PFL clubs to conduct their training sessions at the PFF National Training Center,” said PFF commissioner Coco Torre on Monday. “With training sessions, under the minimum health and protocols in place, now allowed, we hope that we are a step closer to the start of the competition.”

Currently, the PFL has five member clubs, defending champion United Clark, Kaya Iloilo, Maharlika Manila, Mendiola, and Stallion Laguna with the possibility of accepting up to three expansions this season.

Stallion Laguna has been revealed to have begun its training at its home, the Biñan Football Stadium.

The Azkals Development Team is coming in as a guest team.
