MANILA—Rain Or Shine added some more early woes to Blackwater on Sunday night through a 71-62 victory in the main game of the PBA Philippine Cup triple-header at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Despite also struggling offensively, the Elasto Painters slowly pulled away from the Bossing, opening a 68-48 advantage with 9:38 left.

Blackwater tried to mount a comeback, cutting the lead to just nine with 2:02 remaining, but crucial turnovers sealed its fate as ROS survived despite failing to score in the final four and a half minutes.

Rey Nambatac put up 21 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, and one steal for the Elasto Painters, who joined the Meralco Bolts on top of the team standings at 2-0.

Norbert Torres added 13 points, five rebounds, one assist, and one block, while Javee Mocon had a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds with three assists and two steals.

Kelly Nabong led the Bossing, who fell to 0-2, with 18 points, seven rebounds, two assists, one block, and one steal.
