MANILA--Two PBA Philippine Cup games originally scheduled for Sunday have been called off as the schedule shakeup over the weekend continued.

The league announced on Saturday that the marquee match-up between San Miguel and Ginebra and the game before that between NorthPort and TNT will be moved to a later date.

The reason for the postponement of games has not been disclosed, although it can be noted that the Gin Kings and the Batang Pier faced off on Friday night won by the former on a buzzer beating basket from Christian Standhardinger.

The Tropang Giga, however, will still get to play on Sunday, but this time against the Phoenix Fuel Masters.

Phoenix was supposed to play on Saturday against Blackwater, but the game has been postponed too due to health and safety protocols amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the Fuel Masters cleared to play on Sunday, it can be assumed that it was the Bossing who underwent COVID-19 protocols.

Even the game between Rain Or Shine and Terrafirma has been affected too as both teams, initially scheduled as the nightcap of the Sunday triple-header, will now face off at 2 p.m. Sunday as the first game of the twinbill.

The Phoenix-TNT game will happen at 4:35 p.m.
