PAGADIAN--The 2021 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup will transfer to Plaza Luz Gym here, its original venue, starting July 17.

The development was confirmed by league COO Rocky Chan after Malacañang announced Thursday that Zamboanga del Sur will now be under general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions.

"Yes, the games will resume on Saturday, July 17 in Pagadian City," bared Chan.

And it will be quite a first day in Pagadian as a triple-header will be played Saturday.

But with the league coming home to its original venue, VisMin Super Cup will first have its official opening ceremonies at 1 pm.

The parade of teams will kick things off, but due to health and safety protocols, only the head coach; the team captain; and one homegrown player will represent their squads.

Opening the festivities at 2 p.m. will be Kapatagan (1-1) and the home team Pagadian (2-0). Following at 4 p.m. will be Zamboanga City (1-1) facing ALZA Alayon (0-1).

At the nightcap, Jumbo Plastic-Basilan (1-0) will square off against Iligan (0-2) at 6 p.m.

The startup league was supposed to commence here on July 2, but it remained in modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).

Zamboanga del Sur was under MECQ since June 1.

The regional pro league played its first six game days at the Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Gymnasium in Ipil.

However, due to unplayable conditions of the court, games between ALZA Alayon and Iligan; as well as Roxas and Basilan were cancelled and are rescheduled to July 28, the last day of eliminations.
