MANILA--There is a possibility that by Sunday night, only one will remain undefeated.

A showdown between Magnolia and TNT, which are the only undefeated teams in the PBA Philippine Cup prior to its August postponement, has been scheduled at 7 p.m. Sunday as the league resumes action at the Don Honorio Ventura State University Gym in Bacolor, Pampanga.

If things hold, both teams might end up colliding in a "battle of the unbeaten".

The Hotshots are currently at the top of the team standings with a 4-0 record, while the Tropang Giga closely follow them at 3-0.

Both teams, however, will be among the busiest clubs in the "Reopening Week" as they will play thrice like three others.

TNT will take on Blackwater in the first game of the Wednesday triple-header, while Magnolia will battle Meralco in the third game with a showdown pitting Terrafirma and San Miguel in between.

Both the Tropang Giga and the Hotshots will then swap opponents for Friday, that is, the Hotshots will take on the Bossing in the first game, while the Tropang Giga will battle the Bolts in the main game right after the Dyip clash with Barangay Ginebra.

If both Magnolia and TNT hold on in both their respective games, they will collide on Sunday night with their unbeaten records on the line.

However, that quest could be spoiled entirely if either of the teams slips to its first loss especially with Meralco, currently at 4-1, performing well last July.

While whether both the Hotshots and the Tropang Giga will carry their unblemished records to their match on Sunday night remains uncertain, there will surely be at least one team among the Dyip and the Bossing that will finally notch its first win of the season.

Terrafirma and Blackwater, both at 0-4 prior to the postponement, will face off in the first game of the Sunday triple-header at 2 p.m., assuring that one of them will walk away with a victory.

However, both teams could take their first win sooner with a huge upset against either one of the San Miguel Corporation teams or TNT.

The other game for Sunday is a 4:35 p.m. clash between Meralco and Ginebra.
