TOKYO—Boxing featherweight silver medalist Nesthy Petecio will be the designated flag bearer in Sunday’s closing ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics where the Philippines booked its best finish ever.

Petecio, according to POC President Rep. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, will be vested the honor to carry the flag for being the country’s first female medalist in Olympic boxing.

Petecio stayed behind along with flyweight Irish Magno to cheer behind Carlo Paalam, who bagged silver in flyweight, and Eumir Felix Marcial, who clinched bronze in middleweight.

All four boxers, including their coaches, and skateboarding president Carl Sambrano, are joining the closing ceremony at the Tokyo National Stadium.
