MANILA--Jenelyn Olsim escaped a strong finish from Bi Nguyen to score a huge win in the co-main event of ONE: Battleground 3 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

In a previously recorded battle that premiered on Friday night, a solid start turned out to be enough for Olsim as Nguyen's late push came up just short.

Olsim quickly took the game to the ground in Round 1 and even came close to a submission win only that Nguyen made an impressive escape from the rare gogoplata hold.

Action slowed down a bit in the second round, but Olsim rocked Nguyen with a right hook midway into the round that sent the latter down even as the former began dominating from there.

However, the tides seemed to have turned in the final five minutes when Nguyen scored a huge takedown on Olsim and attempted to score a finish right there.

Nguyen's efforts eventually went down the drain as Olsim won via unanimous decision.

Olsim earned the right to face Grace Cleveland in an alternate bout for the ONE Women's Atomweight Grand Prix next Friday at ONE: Empower at the said arena.
