PVL: Petro Gazz nabs bronze, mangles undermanned Choco Mucho

MANILA—Petro Gazz completed the sweep in the battle for third with a 25-20, 25-18, 25-21 win over Choco Mucho in Thursday action of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference at the PCV Socio-Civic and Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.

Myla Pablo top-scored with 16 points on 14 attacks for the Angels, while Grethcel Soltones added seven with 12 excellent receptions. Chie Saet had four points with 15 excellent sets and 11 digs.

Choco Mucho, which already lost captain Maddie Madayag to injury on Wednesday, played without starters Kat Tolentino, Bea De Leon, and libero Denden Lazaro-Revilla.

Caitlyn Viray led the Flying Titans with nine markers, while Necole Ebuen and Arianna May Angustia chipped in seven and six, respectively.
