MANILA--Glutagence banked on its stifling defense against Quezon en route to a 59-50 win in the resumption of the WNBL games at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando City, Pampanga.
In the premier women's basketball league's first game back after postponement of play due to a rise in COVID-19 cases in both Metro Manila and Pampanga, the Glow Boosters showed up defensively, holding the Lady Spartans to just six points in the first quarter.
Although Quezon slowly got its offensive game going, it was not enough to overcome the already stabilized game from Glutagence.
Raiza Dy led the Glow Boosters, who remain on top of the standings at 3-0, with 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting including 3-for-4 on three-pointers, nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Nicole Cancio added eight points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block off the bench.
Kristine Duran put up 12 markers, five boards, and three swipes for Quezon, which fell to 0-2.
