MANILA--San Miguel and Ginebra, two teams that had their games last weekend postponed, will be back in action on Wednesday as they will headline the last two games of a PBA Philippine Cup triple-header at the Don Honorio Ventura State University Gym in Bacolor, Pampanga.

The Beermen will take on the still undefeated TNT Tropang Giga at 3 p.m., while the Gin Kings will face the Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters in the nightcap at 6 p.m.

SMB is well in the thick of the fight for a Top 2 spot in the quarterfinals, which would merit a once-to-advance incentive at 3-2, a full game behind joint second placers Meralco and Magnolia, both at 5-2.

The Hotshots have an outright chance to go back to solo second in the first game at 12:30 p.m. against the NLEX Road Warriors.

With three straight wins dating back to July, NLEX is also within striking distance of a Top 2 spot, currently in fourth place at 4-2.

Meanwhile, Meralco will take the entire week off along with Alaska as part of the league's health and safety protocols.

The Bolts were supposed to battle the Gin Kings on Sunday night, while the Aces were scheduled to face the Beermen the night before.
