MANILA--TNT formally booked the top seed in the PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals after zapping NorthPort, 102-92, on Wednesday at the Don Honorio Ventura State University Gym in Bacolor, Pampanga.

Despite an off night from RR Pogoy, the Tropang Giga got some needed help from Kib Montalbo to bounce back from a slow start and take down the Batang Pier.

Mikey Williams had his usual numbers of 29 points on 10-of-19 shooting including 5-of-8 from beyond the arc, three rebounds, and five assists for TNT, which won its third straight game and moved up to 9-1 overall.

Montalbo added 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting including 4-for-6 from long range, five rebounds, and three assists.

Paolo Taha made 20 points on 6-for-7 shooting and one rebound for NorthPort, which saw its own three-game winning streak snapped and fell to 4-4.
