MANILA--TNT quickly sent Meralco back to earth with a 91-76 blowout in the Friday nightcap of the PBA Philippine Cup at the Don Honorio Ventura State University Gym in Bacolor, Pampanga.

Two nights after the Bolts came back from a late 13-point deficit to shock the then-unbeaten Magnolia Hotshots, the Tropang Giga made sure that they will not let go of their own undefeated record as they quickly wreaked havoc on the Bolts.

TNT held Meralco to only 26 points in the first half as the team opened a 28-point lead at halftime.

The Bolts seemed to have found their rhythm in the third quarter after outscoring the Tropang Giga, 33-20, but the latter's huge first-half lead was just too difficult to overhaul.

Mikey Williams continued to build his early case for the Rookie of the Year award after leading the now 5-0 TNT squad with 27 points on 11-for-20 shooting, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

RR Pogoy added 20 points, five rebounds, one assist, and two steals.

John Pinto led Meralco, who following the loss fell back to third place at 5-2, with 16 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

Reynel Hugnatan once again turned back time with a 14-point, 11-rebound, three-assist, and two-steal performance off the bench.
