MANILA--Jenelyn Olsim has entered the main tournament of the ONE Women's Atomweight Grand Prix.

ONE Championship announced on Monday night that Olsim will be stepping in for Itsuki Hirata in the semifinals of the said event set at ONE: NextGen 1 on Friday night at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

This means Olsim, who came on as an alternate after beating Bi Nguyen at ONE: Battleground 3 on July 30, will take on Ritu Phogat in the Grand Prix semis.

Olsim was scheduled to take on Jihin Radzuan in another alternate bout scheduled for ONE: NextGen 2 also on Friday but will only be aired on Nov. 12, but the fight is now canceled following the development.

The winner of the Olsim-Phogat match will take on the winner of the other semifinal between Natthawan "Stamp Fairtex" Panthong and Julie Mezabarba.

Like Olsim, Mezabarba joined the GP as an alternate after defeating Mei Yamaguchi and eventually replaced Ham Seo-Hee, who made headlines after a controversial quarterfinal win against Denice Zamboanga, following an undisclosed injury in training.

Hirata is not the only fighter pulled out of ONE: NextGen 1 as one of the headliners, reigning ONE light heavyweight kickboxing champion Roman Kryklia, has been taken out too.

Kryklia, who moved up to the heavyweight division for his scheduled bout, was supposed to take on Iraj Azizpour for the inaugural heavyweight kickboxing belt.

"Kryklia and Hirata were both forced to withdraw from their bouts due to undisclosed medical issues," ONE Championship said.

Azizpour will now take on Anderson "Braddock" Silva in a non-title bout.

With the schedule shakeup, the two GP semifinal bouts will now be the double main event of ONE: NextGen 1.

Olsim and Phogat will lock horns right after the Azizpour-Silva match, while the Panthong-Mezabarba clash will cap the night.
