MANILA—In a rare Saturday approval, another member of San Miguel's "Death 5" is moving to a new team.

The PBA trade committee announced that it has approved a trade sending Alex Cabagnot to Terrafirma.

In exchange, the Beermen took Simon Enciso from the Dyip.

The trade seemed to be a tweak from an initially reported package as Spin.PH's Homer Sayson first reported that Roosevelt Adam was supposed to join Enciso in the trade for Cabagnot.

But the PBA approved a straight-up swap between Enciso and Cabagnot instead.

Cabagnot was hampered by an injury which limited him to just four games in the PBA Philippine Cup, averaging 12.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per ballgame for SMB.

The trade was consummated at the end of a trading week that began with the same Beermen franchise sending Arwind Santos to the NorthPort Batang Pier for Vic Manuel, the swap that sparked the break-up of the Death 5.

Meanwhile, Enciso will not get to play a single minute for Terrafirma as he was quickly shipped to SMB a month and a half after Blackwater let him go through a late September deal.
