MANILA--Kaya Iloilo put away the Azkals Development Team in the second half to nail a 2-0 win in the return of the Copa Paulino Alcantara on Sunday night at the PFF National Training Centre in Carmona.

Despite a solid first half that saw the ADT keeping Kaya Iloilo at bay on the defensive end, the latter turned things around in the second half after finding the needed loopholes to score.

Daizo Horikoshi broke the ice in the 54th minute when he tapped in a point-blank range goal off a low cross.

Simone Rota then found himself wide open after a loose ball scramble off a corner kick and drilled in the eventual insurance goal for Kaya Iloilo in the 70th minute.

With the win, Kaya Iloilo got a good headstart in Group B play and can book a place in the semifinals with either a draw or a win against Mendiola on Wednesday night.

The ADT will take a longer break and will return to action also against Mendiola on Saturday night.
