MANILA--Pioneer Epoxy has been cut off the first day of the PBA 3x3 event after failing to submit a necessary paper that would have cleared the team to play.

According to PBA executive assistant Mich Flores, the quartet of Robin Rono, Dan Reducto, Carlo Dechavez, and Carlo Escalambre failed to submit their medical clearances in time for their Saturday group stage matches.

With that said, the Pro Tibay had to forfeit their games against the CAVITEX Braves and the NorthPort Batang Pier.

Pioneer was actually given another chance to be cleared to play, that is, the team was given until the start of its game against NorthPort to submit the medical clearance but failed to do so.

Pioneer is scheduled to face San Miguel at 1:25 p.m. on Sunday in its final pool stage assignment for Pool C.

On whether the Pro Tibay can finally submit their medical clearance remains to be seen.
