MANILA--Blackwater continued to struggle in finding that elusive win after Alaska clobbered them for a 98-75 rout in the PBA Governors' Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Wednesday.

Despite a solid start from the Bossing, the Aces took control of the game for most of the final three quarters as the latter snapped a two-game skid.

Blackwater once again showed promise at the start, opening a 24-21 lead at the end of the first quarter.

But Alaska answered with a 29-19 second quarter and pulled away from there despite losing import Olu Ashaolu in the end due to apparent severe cramps.

Maverick Ahanmisi made 17 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals to lead the Aces, who moved up to 3-2 in the standings.

Jeron Teng added 14 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

Rashawn McCarthy put up 16 markers and one steal off the bench to lead the Bossing, who fell to 0-5 in the conference and have now dropped 24 straight games in total.
