MANILA--Blackwater and Terrafirma did not let Christmas Eve pass by without doing some significant job.

Both teams, currently down in the PBA Governors' Cup standings, agreed on a straight-up trade between Justin Melton and Ed Daquioag.

Following the approval of the PBA trade committee on Friday, Melton will be heading to the Bossing after playing just two games with the Dyip at this conference.

In effect, Daquioag will be joining Terrafirma.

With Blackwater scheduled to face Magnolia on Jan. 5, 2022, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Melton, who scored two points for Terrafirma in the team's 87-114 loss to the Purefoods franchise on Dec. 15, will get to face his original PBA team twice this Governors' Cup.

On top of that, however, Melton will be reuniting with Coach Ariel Vanguardia, who was his mentor when played for the Kuala Lumpur Dragons in the ABL, as the Bossing are still looking for an elusive win after a PBA record 24 straight losses.

This is the second roster move of Blackwater this week alone as Vanguardia confirmed that import Jaylen Bond will be by Shawn Glover.

Meanwhile, Daquioag will be playing for his fourth team after stints with Rain Or Shine, TNT, and recently at Blackwater.
