PASAY--The Philippines' rising force in athleisure has just reached "The Bay".

Decathlon has finally opened its new branch inside SM Mall of Asia here.

No less than City Mayor Emi Rubiano joined officials from Decathlon in formally opening the new store on Saturday.

This is the second Decathlon inside an SM mall, just after it the athleisure brand opened its own branch at SM North EDSA in Quezon City as part of a long-term partnership.

This is also Decathlon's fifth active store overall including branches in Muntinlupa, Pasig, and Antipolo.

"We want Decathlon to be the favorite sports brand of Filipinos. Thanks to the innovation and unbeatable value of our in-house brands, we can deliver top quality products to guarantee customer satisfaction," said Hans Iff, Decathlon Philippines' chief executive officer.

Decathlon describes its SM MOA branch as "phygital", that is, people can opt to buy the products they want physically or just have them delivered to their homes through next-day delivery and click-and-collect options in Decathlon's digital platform.

"Each Decathlon platform aims to make an impact on the local community through and for the love of sports," said Decathlon Pasay store manager Ian Reoperez. "Each person who discovers their love for sports within Decathlon walls is a win for each of us."

Decathlon Pasay is open during SM MOA's mall hours and is located on the second floor of its Entertainment Hall area.
