MANILA--Jayson Castro took charge in the second half to lift TNT to an 81-77 win over Alaska in the PBA Governors' Cup on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Castro scored all of his team-high 20 points in the final 24 minutes as he led the Tropang Giga's fightback from an ugly first quarter.

The Aces held the Tropang Giga to just nine points in the first 12 minutes of action.

But TNT slowly got its bearings later in the match, and, behind the leadership of its star point guard, dropped 32 points in the third period to eventually turn things around for good.

Castro also had five rebounds, six assists, three steals, and one block off the bench as the Tropang Giga bounced back from their loss to sister team NLEX Road Warriors on Wednesday night.

Glenn Khobuntin added 16 markers, one board, one steal, and one block off the bench.

Olu Ashaolu poured in 29 points, 18 rebounds, and two assists for the Aces, but he too was credited for eight of their 23 total turnovers.
