MANILA—In another uncommon Saturday swap, the PBA trade committee approved a straight up one-for-one deal between Meralco and Rain Or Shine.

The trade would see Trevis Jackson moving to the Elasto Painters and rookie Franky Johnson heading to the Bolts.

Jackson, the fifth overall pick of the 2018 PBA Draft, looks to rebuild his pro career with ROS after struggling to sneak into Meralco's rotation following the resurgence of Anjo Caram and the emergence of Aaron Black as well as the brilliance of Chris Newsome being Meralco's new primary point guard.

"He is a good teammate, and we thank him for giving his time and effort to Meralco," Team Manager Paolo Trillo said in a statement. "We wish Trevis the best with his new team."

On the other hand, Johnson gets to reunite with fellow former Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 star Alvin Pasaol at the Bolts camp.

Initially placed in the Sista Super Sealers' roster for the PBA 3x3, Johnson found his way to the Elasto Painters' first team lineup during the remainder of the PBA Philippine Cup in Bacolor, Pampanga.
