PASAY--After starting the PBA Governors' Cup 0-2, San Miguel is beginning to move on from the departure of Arwind Santos and Alex Cabagnot as the team took down Blackwater, 107-88, in the nightcap of the Saturday doubleheader at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The Beermen never gave an inch to the still struggling Bossing, blowing the game wide open early on with a 35-point first quarter.

Down by as much as 25 points, Blackwater looked to crawl back after cutting the lead down to 13, 87-74, with eight and a half minutes left.

But SMB held on after unleashing the game-sealing 15-5 run midway through the final frame.

CJ Perez put up 21 points, six rebounds, four assists, and one steal to lead the Beermen, who have now won back-to-back games.

Marcio Lassiter added 18 markers, one board, three dimes, four swipes, and one block.

Despite being limited to 5-for-15 shooting, Brandon Brown still put up a double-double of 12 points and 14 caroms with five dimes, four steals, and one block.

Paul Desiderio had his best game so far this season with 16 points, four rebounds, one assist, and two steals for the Bossing, who fell to 0-4 in the conference and are now on a 23-game losing streak since last year.
