MANILA--All it took was a Muay Thai fight for Eduard Folayang to get back on the winning track.

The Filipino mixed martial arts legend was victorious in his ONE Super Series Muay Thai debut, giving Australian Muay Thai legend John Wayne Parr a loss in his farewell bout at ONE: X on Saturday night at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The 37-year-old Folayang, a three-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist in wushu sanda, played like his vintage self again, dominating Parr at least for the first two rounds.

While both pugs put on a show for most of the bout with colossal exchanges, Folayang tagged Parr with the better shots in the first six minutes, highlighted by a second-round knockdown that seemingly decided the contest.

Parr made a late splash in the third round and even came close to scoring a knockdown of his own, but Folayang never wavered and even connected on some hits of his own.

All three judges handed the win to Folayang, who got a confidence booster as he now looks to snap a four-fight losing streak in MMA.

The 45-year-old Parr, on the other hand, will retire with 99 wins, 46 by knockout, 34 losses, and one draw.
