PBA Draft set on May 15

MANILA—The countdown is on for the PBA 47th Season Draft.

The league announced on Thursday that the annual rookie draft will take place on May 15.

The PBA will begin accepting entries of those who will apply for the draft on Monday.

The PBA Draft is open to players aged 22 or older.

Played aged 19-21 could also be declared for the draft as long as they have finished at least two years in college.

Local draft aspirants only need to submit a copy of their birth certificate.

Fil-foreign players, on the other hand, must submit a valid passport as well as the Bureau of Immigration Certificate of Recognition and the Department of Justice's affirmation.

Applicants have until May 2 to formally throw their hats into the draft proceedings.

Among those expected to formally declare for the draft are Balti Baltazar, Brandon Rosser, Jeremiah Gray, Jason Brickman and Tyrus Hill.
