Converge to be known as FiberXers for PBA Season 47

MANDALUYONG--Make way for the FiberXers!

Converge will be debuting in the PBA next season under the said moniker.

The name was made official during Converge's PBA team launch on Tuesday at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel Grand Ballroom.

According to Converge, which will take over the Alaska Milk franchise, the name Fiber Xers "is patterned after the company's brand archetype, the FiberX, which proved itself as a revolutionary internet landscape in the Philippines."

Chief executive officer Dennis Anthony Uy then thanked his marketing team for putting up with the name as Converge will now use the PBA as a means to further promote its products.

“This is a strategic and timely move for Converge as we continue with our nationwide expansion. With Filipinos' deep devotion to basketball, we're confident that our foray into basketball will propel Converge to become a household name,” Uy added.
