UAAP S84: UP takes down NU for the 7th win

MANILA, Philippines — UP takes down NU, starts of the second round of the UAAP, with a win, 84-76, Tuesday afternoon at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Carl Tamayo’s career high at today’s Maroons win with 21 points, 8/13 field goals, 10 rebounds and three steals. Ricci Rivero and Zavier Lucero both chipped in 16 points for the Maroons win.

John Lloyd Clemente led the Bulldogs with 18 points while Reyland Torres and Shaun Ildefonso chipped in 15 and 11 points for today’s game.

With today’s UP win, they are now on second spot with 7-1 while the NU Bulldogs slips down to 4-4.

UP will try to get win number 8 as they will face FEU. NU will try to bounceback as they will face Adamson. Both games are on next Tuesday, April 19 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
