MANDALUYONG--Justine Baltazar was among those who were absent on the first day of the PBA Draft Combine on Wednesday at the Gatorade Hoops Center here.

Balti, the six-foot-seven former La Salle forward did not come to the Wednesday session, which was mainly about measuring their height, weight, and individual skills.

Also not around the gym on Wednesday were the likes of Brandon Rosser, Gian Mamuyac, Tyler Tio, BJ Andrade, Jeo Ambohot, Allen Mina, and Christian Fajarito, but their absence was understandable.

Rosser has already arrived in Hanoi along with his Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 teammates, who are basically his comrades at PBA 3x3 kingpin Limitless, for the Southeast Asian Games.

Mamuyac, Tio, and Andrade will play later Wednesday as Ateneo tries to extend its UAAP men's basketball finals series against the University of the Philippines to sudden death

Meanwhile, Ambohot, Mina, and Fajarito, despite not having a game on Wednesday, are excused as they prepare for Letran's NCAA men's basketball title defense against the winner of the Final 4 rubber match also later in the day between San Beda and Mapua.

It was clarified that Baltazar has been excused too.

Only 58 players out of the 75 applicants were in attendance during Day 1.
