Gilas clobbers Singapore to go 3-0 in SEAG men's hoops

MANILA--Gilas Pilipinas continued its mastery in the Southeast Asian Games men's 5x5 basketball event after mauling Singapore, 88-37, on Wednesday at the Thanh Tri Gymnasium in Hanoi.

Just like its Tuesday night win against Cambodia, Gilas turned to its defense to stop Singapore, holding them to just seven first quarter points to set up the blowout.

RR Pogoy led Gilas, now 3-0 in the round robin tournament, with 19 points, two rebounds, one assist, and three steals.

LeBron Lopez added 18 points on a perfect 7-for-7 field goal shooting, one rebound, one assist, two steals, and one block.

Lavin Raj put up eight points, two rebounds, and one assist for Singapore.
