UAAP S84: UP takes down Ateneo at the Battle of Katipunan Finals Game 1

MANILA, Philippines — UP takes game one of the best-of-three UAAP Finals, after beating the Ateneo in overtime with 81-74, Sunday evening at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Zavier Lucero led the Maroons win with 17 points, 6/14 field goals, 13 rebounds, two blocks and a steal. James Spencer also chipped in 13 points, 5/8 field goals, and four rebounds. 

Ange Kouame and SJ Belangel led the Blue Eagles with 18 and 17 points.

UP is one game away at the championship while Ateneo will try to bounceback and will try to force for Game 3.
