PASAY--PBA commissioner Willie Marcial revealed on Sunday night that he has slapped NorthPort coach Pido Jarencio with a fine for his post-game antics during his team's game against Blackwater the night before.

In an interview with reporters present at the Mall of Asia Arena for the league's Father's Day offering, Marcial said that Jarencio will be fined PHP20,000 for harshly confronting Bossing head coach Ariel Vanguardia right at the final buzzer.

Jarencio bumped Vanguardia at mid-court apparently to show his disgust when the latter called for a timeout with 6.6 seconds left when his team was already winning, 97-90.

Vanguardia even claimed that Jarencio cussed at him during the commotion.

Marcial officially ruled Jarencio's violation as illegal physical contact, similar to the prohibitions in talking to the referees.

According to Marcial, Jarencio was repentant of his actions.

"Sinabi ko sa kanya, 'Huwag nang maulit.' Sabi ni Pido, 'Kung ano ang ipapataw mo sa akin, Comm, tatanggapin ko,'" Marcial said.
