STA. ROSA, Laguna--Zamboanga stayed in step with its fellow remaining unbeaten squads in the MPBL after ripping Marikina, 91-76, on Monday night at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.

Zamboanga imposed its will on both ends of the floor in the first half to set up the blowout, dropping 28 points in the first quarter before holding Marikina to only 15 in the second quarter.

The bench mob took charge for Zamboanga, now 4-0 in the standings, with Jaycee Marcelino leading the way with 14 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals, and Jhapz Bautista and Jayvee Marcelino each added 10.

John Mahari is the top scorer for the Zamboanga starters with 10 points as well.

Zamboanga remains in third place in the Southern Division, just below joint conference leaders Sarangani and Batangas City, who are both at 5-0.

Kyle Tolentino's 23-point showing mattered a little for Marikina as the team fell to 1-5.
