MANILA--Blackwater said on Wednesday that it is willing to investigate the drama surrounding guard Paul Desiderio and former fiance Agatha Uvero.

However, the team also said that it will only step in if Desiderio, who has been accused of physically abusing Uvero, says yes to getting probed.

"If the allegations were true and the concerned player consents, then we will look into it and possibly come out with our position," the Bossing said in a statement, which was released while they are facing the Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters in a PBA Philippine Cup action.

For now, according to the Ever Bilena franchise, "We respect the personal life and privacy of our players unless they seek our help and assistance."

However, the team added, "We reserve the right to comment on any social media posts especially if they are unverified."

Despite all of these, the Bossing clarified that domestic abuse among women and children remains a no-no for them.

"Definitely, we abhor any and all forms of violence against women and children. Women and children deserve nothing less of our love and respect," the team further said.
