MANILA - In a convincing fashion, the Filipinas advanced to the semifinals of the 2022 AFF Women's Championship courtesy of the goals from Tahnai Annis and Sarina Bolden that seal the deal for them to stay as Group A's topnotcher, Sunday night at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.

The Filipinas in red kit was stunned to trail before heading to dugout at the end of 1st half after the crucial error from goalie Inna Palacios as Carla Bio Pattinasarany successfully booted the ball after Palacios failed to clear it to give the already eliminated Garuda Pertiwi's advantage at the 38th minute.

Head tactician Alen Stajcic made substitutions as he fielded Katrina Guillou, Jaclyn Sawicki, and Sara Eggesvik to recast the midfield personnel at the start of second half, which all of their feeds had helped in Bolden's hattrick.

Three minutes later, Eggesvik facilitated the play that brought them into safe haven as she located two red shirts in the penalty area. The ball deflected from Isabella Flanigan to team captain Annis and she kicked for the equalizer, as Filipinas leveled it to 1-1 at 48th minute.

Eggesvik again collected another dime as she located Bolden to easily snap in between the legs of Indonesian keeper Prihatini to give Filipinas the lead in this contest, 2-1 at the 58th minute.

Sawicki surveyed the defender-less territory of Indonesia before she pass the ball to Bolden, left unmarked, to easily booted to the goal mouth made it 3-1 for the host country at the 65th minute.

With the beautiful simple feed by Guillou, Bolden run it off one-on-one with the keeper that successfully converted after she rebounded the ball from the initial save of Prihatini. 4-1 for the Filipinas, two minutes after she scored.

That could complete the pace for Bolden as she scored the hattrick in just nine minutes.

Currently, Bolden is the current tournament's goalscorer with five goals sharing with Australia's Amy Sayer.

The Filipinas will face Thailand on Tuesday. The Chaba Kaew boosted their confidence after their win vs. Malaysia at 4-0 while Australia U23's semis hope still alive after their W against Singapore at 4-1.
