Myanmar clobbers Timor Leste at start of AFF Women's Championship Group B play

BINAN--Myanmar issued a huge statement to kick off Group B action in the AFF Women's Championship after blanking Timor Leste, 7-0, on Tuesday night at the Binan Football Stadium.

Naw Htet Htet Wai opened the Burmese girls' strike on their Timorese counterparts with a 17th-minute goal.

July Kyaw then followed up with a brace in the 19th and the 33rd minutes.

Khin Marlar Tun then joined the scoring barrage in the 39th minute before Wai Phoo Eain hit one just before the halftime whistle was blown as Myanmar opened a 5-0 lead in the first half

Then it was the Myat Noe Khin Show in the second half, converting her own brace with goals in the 60th and 83rd minute.
