TNT adds to Terrafirma's woes with own blowout

MANILA--TNT handed Terrafirma its second straight bad beat on Friday after scoring a 114-86 win in their PBA Philippine Cup game at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The Tropang Giga recovered in the second half after the Dyip made things interesting in the second quarter.

TNT hinted at turning the game into a blowout early on after opening a 31-14 lead at the end of the first quarter, but Terrafirma responded with a 34-18 second quarter to cut the lead down to one, 49-48, at halftime.

The Tropang Giga pulled away for good after a 65-38 second half.

Mikey Williams led TNT, which scored its fifth straight win to move up to 7-2, with a conference-high 31 points on 12-for-21 shooting, seven rebounds, and five assists.

Poy Erram added 18 points on 7-for-8 shooting, nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and one steal off the bench.

Joshua Munzon fired 25 points, six rebounds, two assists, and one steal to lead Terrafirma, which remains winless at 0-6.
