MANILA—TNT put on an impressive game to finish its PBA Philippine Cup elimination round campaign on a high note, beating Ginebra, 106-92, on Sunday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Although they have to wait for at most two weeks to see their quarterfinal fate, the Tropang Giga finished all they can control in the quest to finish at the Top 2 of the team standings, slowly but surely pulling away from the Gin Kings, whose own quest to earn the twice-to-beat in the quarterfinals suffered a crucial hit.

RR Pogoy exploded for 30 points, eight rebounds, two assists, three steals, and one block for TNT, which was the first team to finish its elimination round stint with an 8-3 record.

Mikey Williams added 19 points, five rebounds, three assists, and one steal.

Japeth Aguilar put up 18 points, six rebounds, two assists, one block, and one steal for Ginebra, which fell to 6-2.

LA Tenorio and Christian Standhardinger each added 15 points with the latter also grabbing 12 rebounds for the double-double.
